What to wear this spring
Spring is such a specific time for outfits. The weather is warm but not enough to start wearing summer clothes, however, its not cold enough to wear your winter clothes. So what should you wear in the spring of 2026?
1. Don’t buy anything new, unless necessary.
I know, you’re already checking zara or shein for new clothes to wear, but let me help you save those 50 bucks and at the same time help the planet and stop overconsumption.
Spring is perfect for a closet cleanout, so I advise you to go through your whole wardrobe and make 3 piles.
- Clothes you LOVE
- Clothes you like but never wear
- Clothes you simply don’t like and don’t wear anymore
Pile no.3 is a great opportunity to make some money. Put those clothes up on Vinted or Depop or even donate them to the local shelter (there is definitely someone out there who would’ve loved to wear your “throw away” clothes).
Pile no.1 is a must keep. You love those clothes and will definitely find a way to style them over and over again so you don’t have to worry about running out of outfits in the future.
Give the clothes from the pile no.2 a new life. Give yourself a time limit to wear those clothes as much as possible. If you manage to actually wear them, you should keep them. Otherwise you could just sell them to someone who would want to wear them.
And don’t be too sentimental. I know you probably love some clothes because they remind you of a specific time, but if you never wear them, it’s better to give the clothes a new life and you a new wardrobe.
What if I want NEW clothes?
One word. SEWING
Check Pinterest, Tiktok and even Google for your sewing inspiration. Pick one piece of clothing you love and find a tutorial for a similar piece. I can asure you, it’s not as hard as it seems. Start off with easier pieces and then slowly progress to harder ones. And just like that you have a new hobby and new clothes.
You can use your dad’s old t-shirts, your old clothes or any kind of cloth you have at home. Maybe even an old duvet cover.
